Sharon Bard is Principal of Terra Economics with over 25 years of experience working with agribusinesses, industry organizations, non-profits, farmers and ranchers. As an economic consultant, Bard leads research and stakeholder engagement to create sustainable economic and environmental outcomes for agricultural industry participants. Bard has authored peer-reviewed journal articles, research and industry reports, and presented her research globally. Her expertise includes production agriculture, biofuels, economics, land use change, corporate ESG, sustainability, and agricultural resource management. She received her PhD in agricultural economics from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and lives on an Illinois corn-soybean farm.
